Peanuts, Dogs, Antique Applique Quilts

Hints of Spring today. Lucy and I had a great afternoon outside doing a little clean up and enjoying the slight breeze. I can't imagine life without a dog. I have known a lot of good dogs, but this one, my Lucy, is the best I have ever known. She enjoys exploring the newly exposed grass and barking at shadows. It was a long Winter, Spring seems a long time coming this year.

Time to bring out the Spring quilts. Well, they symbolize Spring to me. I know you have seen this before if you have been reading this blog for any length of time. But it is so beautiful I had to show it again.

The Sister quilt, same maker. These Vintage quilts are so special to me. I do put them on the beds but they are essentially decorative.

I have been rooting around in the big plastic bins for the Spring/Easter decorations, I am about a week late this year but still on track. Things I have learned today:

  • I am sometimes really wrong about a person. I admit it.
  • Spring cleaning feels really good. Where does all that dust come from? How does that happen when I clean regularly?
  • I am considering loosing some of the ephemera, Mr. calls them "dust collectors," he might be correct.
  • Parsley may be strongest little plant known to man. Again, after this long cold winter my Parsley has survived.
  • I met the nicest elderly gentleman at the gym today. Thrilled to be alive. It sort of rubbed off, have a great day.
