The colorful drift of Fall flowers brings nature to the forefront, a joy to behold and share.
Shared by Ericca Erin on Facebook, she used the hardware from another bag and repurposed it with the hexi's and botanical trims. The ribbon embroidery and genius color are beautiful, this would cost hundreds in a posh little gift shop.
So, can you even guess how often we have emphasized the importance of pressing every seam as you sew. Whether piecing or sewing the long inseam on a pair of pants, that seam must be put in it's place. If not, it will not lie flat or it will look "home-made" which in my garment only years was the kiss of death. In this little video, Leah Day shows us how to make a great little pressing board for our quilt seams. Many of us have fashioned something like this, but her board is just right for our needs. Making the board hard, not soft and spongy is the key. Check it out, HERE. If you wish to see her post of the week, including items for sale, Leah's website, HERE. Are you a fan of the Dresden? In this post Connie shares how she made this one from left over Batiks. She also makes a test block before launching a big project. With the left over pieces, a pillow is the perfect no-waste project. Interested? The post and tutorials, HERE.
Well, off to do some housekeeping and prep for dinner. Wednesday is most often a grill day. Not sure if I am into that today, I'm thinking crock pot so I can finish some tedious pant hemming and tear mending on husbands work pants. Once this is all done, I have to find my Autumn fabrics. I have no idea where I tucked them all away! See what happens when you "over-clean!"
