Winter Flowers Brighten Sewtopia

When I left the house this morning my  was opening. That was about 9:30 am.
Home around 3 pm, and this is what greeted me.
So here we are, early February and I can say that our very mild Winter has been most appreciated. However, in the overcast days ahead I am thrilled to have been gifted with these beautiful Amaryllis bulbs. They have been growing for about 4 weeks now. The light in this area of the kitchen is not so good but they don't seem to mind. This one is called Apple Blossom. The photo on the packaging shows a pale pink flower, this one is an almost coral pink. The other one is still closed bud so I don't know what color it will be.

There are two or three more flowers within this bud sac. Impressed I am.

Your Amaryllis is beautiful! I had one store bought bulb with two stems; the first stem offered four blood red flowers and from the second one SIX flowers developed in the same beautiful red colour.
They made me and my final 2016 - first 2017 days happy, colourfully happy.
Love and blessings to you, dear friend, from ice-cold Dokkum in The Netherlands.
