Tea Time in Sewtopia, particularly in hot July, is a stable past-time. For this tray I decided to use the Polish collection. The piece used as a tray is a baking dish, 12 x 18 inches. In it I have assorted small lidded containers to hold tea, sugar etc. On the far right is my absolutely favorite jelly jar. Filled with an imported French Strawberry-Rhubarb jam, it is perfect for scones, croissants, and small muffins. The inverted cups are called
Ladies Mugs. Small cups without saucers are perfect for tea, cocoa or coffee. Each cup in the set of 6 is different in decoration.
- Even warm weather deserves a nice hot tea. While not everyone here agrees, I still make a full pot, then strain the tea into a small pitcher to ice later on.
- I like to keep an assortment of frozen, ready to bake pastries on hand. When guests visit I can bake them off in small batches in less than 30 minutes. I have purchased them from Williams-Sonoma and QVC. They are wonderful.
