Tragedy and Loss, Remembering Malasia Flight 17

I do not comment on political issues here. There are rare exceptions. I cannot wrap my head around the feelings that those souls must have had when power hungry individuals decided that their lives were expendable. It was for their "cause!"

There are no words to describe the sorrow I feel for the victims and families of those lost in the this latest air disaster. Not just the the circumstances, which are abhorrent, but the ominous path that supposedly civilized people have chosen.

No stranger to loss and tragedy, my heart breaks for everyone involved, including the persons who were involved in arming that missile.  That said, please remember them and offer your respect and prayers for these lost souls in what ever way you choose to do so. I heard a comment  among a small group of people yesterday that stunned me.  Do not let this event languish because it didn't happen here.  It was not that long ago that the world embraced us for the events of September 11th. It is our responsibility as  Americans to step above political skirmish and return to civilized and respectful conversation.

I will not post for about a week, choosing to take some time off. I have many projects in progress and will return in a while. A little vacation of sorts. Take care, have a lovely week and enjoy those you love and care for.
