 Posted from the Daily Mail Online, the October 4th post, I found these conclusions interesting and almost expected. Those of us over 40 recognize the changes of body shape with size and weight not necessarily a denominator. A  link to the entire article here. Garment sewing requires us to identify our shape when sizing patterns. Recent mid-age bloggers have remarked about the complexities of fitting their changing shape. Alterations and adjustments. No wonder I am stalled in that department. I am a hybrid of sorts,  a mid-age apple looking for an hourglass!!

The comprehensive survey of 18,000 women reveals that most identify themselves as a full hourglass shape, more than any other shape.
The seven most common body shapes are full hourglass (20.5 peovr cent), neat hourglass (19.3 per cent) , apple (16.7 per cent), pear (16.6 per cent), rectangle (10 per cent), lean column (8.9 per cent) and inverted triangle (8 per cent).
