Vintage Tea Time

A mid-day respite, the Tea Party historically provided the Ladies a moment to socialize and stave off hunger until the typical 8 pm Formal dinner. While we no longer live such formal lives, the Tea Party is a moment to attempt to recapture the grace of a time long gone.

Still in recovery from the infamous vacation, I will set a tea table this afternoon, just for us. In the cold months I do this all the time, not so much in the Summer but I need this. Today. Yes.

What a beautiful setting. I can't imagine eating another meal after afternoon tea. I have to think that portion sizes were much smaller.
